Operations Support Services

  • Operations Support Services provides financial and administrative support, including budget development and analysis, procurement services, contract administration, information technology support, accounts payable, and payroll. In addition, the department provides periodic financial training regarding internal/state policies and procedures to ensure Operations staff members are kept abreast of ongoing changes. The department is customer service-focused and interacts with various internal and external customers to perform duties.

    The department's primary customers include Building Services staff, CMS Budget, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Human Resources staff, privatized vendors and contractors, school-based staff including principals, and the general public. In addition, the department serves as the liaison between Operations and the CMS Finance, Human Resources and Technology departments regarding the resolution of various financial, human resources and information technology issues.
