This week also marks the midpoint of the the 1st quarter and progress reports will go home this week. Please remember to regualarly check your scholar's canvas and powerschool. AVID Spotlight - Agenda
All scholars received a WMS Agenda this school year! Have you seen it? The use of agendas helps to promote organization and accountability. Teachers are asking scholars to write their homework in their agenda, write learning targets for various classes and parent notes. Please have your scholar show you their agenda.

Family Lunch Day- Oct. 15th - RSVP Today!
Please join use for our most popular parent event of the year, Family Lunch Day on Tuesday, Oct. 15th. Families can eat lunch with their scholar. Please sign up by Sunday, October 13th. Family members must bring their ID or passport to on Tuesday, October 15th to sign in.

Extensions students eat from 10:45a-11:10p
6th grade students eat from 10:55a-11:50p
8th grade students eat from 11:50a-12:30p
7th grade students eat from 12:20p-1:20p

Parents that can’t attend, will not be able to send lunch by doordash or any of the food delivery services. Parents will have to be in person to deliver and eat lunch with students.
All guests that day will have to go through scanners and sign in on the computers with their state issued ID or Passport.
We will provide arts and craft materials for families to do an activity the day of while they eat.

Fall picture day is right around the corner! All scholars will participate in this school wide picture day on Wednesday, October 16th and these pictures go in our yearbook. 20% of monies go to the school to fund school events for students and teacher appreciation initiatives. All scholars and visitors have to go through the Evolv scanner daily. This year the district has asked parents to find an alternate option other than metal 3 ring binders. If your scholar still uses a 3-ring binder, we will ask them to remove binders and chromeooks before passing through the scanners. Scholars can also keep the binders at home.
WMS Dress Code
Whitewater Middle School is no longer a uniform school; however, we do have a dress code. Parents/Guardians we need your help. The biggest areas of concern are the crop shirts, slides, thigh ripped jeans, short-shorts and biker/spandex shorts. These are not allowed. Parents, please review the full WMS Dress Code Presentation using this link: https://bit.ly/WMSDressCode. There are no exceptions to this expectation. Please follow this policy so that your child can have a successful day at school. If your child is not in dress code, you will receive a phone call from the school so that you can bring the appropriate clothing. If you are unable to come, a discipline infraction will be assigned. Possible consequences for repeated dress violations may include Community Service, change schools, In-School Suspension, Parent Admin Conference.
Early Dismissal Policy
Please remember that there will NO early dismissal after 3:00pm. Even if you call to say that you will be late or have a scheduled appointment. Thank you for your support with this school wide policy. All early dismissals must take place before 3:00pm.
