My name is Demetrus McDaniel. My philosophy consists of the belief that ALL children can learn and grow academically. 

I began my career as a teacher in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools 28 years ago. After 20 years as a classroom teacher, I transitioned into educational leadership. I have held the role as Literacy Facilitator, Multi-Classroom Leader and Dean of Students.

I am originally from Greensboro, NC. I completed my Undergraduate Degree in Elementary Education at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. I earned my Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Pfeiffer University, and my second Master’s in Instruction and Supervision from Gardner Webb University.

I have the gift of showing students the “love” of reading and deepening their understanding of texts.
