Title I Schools

As a requirement of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015, the Title I Services Department of Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools administers Title I funds for public schools, private schools, and neglected and delinquent institutions.
Public Schools
CMS has identified 105 Title I schools for the 2024-2025 school year. Schools considered Title I are those in which the identified student percentage (students directly certified) is at least 75%.
