CMS Teaching Residency
Using an innovative blend of school support, professional development, and online learning, CMS Teaching Residency gives you a plan to earn your Initial Professional License within a year while having the stability of a full-time teaching job and being part of a cohort of like-minded peers. This program will be intensive, but by harnessing the power of the community and technology, you will learn to set the high bar for academic excellence that your students deserve.
CMS Teaching Residency is a North Carolina State Board of Education-approved, Educator Preparation Program (EPP).

Beginning Teacher Development and Support
CMS has an active department dedicated to the unique needs of teachers in their first three years of practice, their mentors, and their school leaders. Our goal is to ensure those beginning teachers and their students grow and are proficient in their practices.
