Exceptional Children Parent Advisory Council

The EC Parent Advisory Council (ECPAC) is run by parents concerned about the special needs of children in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools and have a student with a disability enrolled in a Charlotte-Mecklenburg school.

The ECPAC has been established to:

• Advise the school district on matters that pertain to the education and safety of students with disabilities
• Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of the school district's special education programs
• Increase community awareness to encourage understanding, acceptance, and inclusion of children with special needs
• Establish a network of support between parents with similar needs
