  • Dr. Ingrid Medlock
    Chief of Staff and Community Engagement
    Dr. Ingrid W. Medlock has had an extensive career in K-12 education for over 30 years beginning as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Houston Independent School District, serving as a teacher, principal and a grant writer in the WSFCS, Head of School at an all-boys middle school in Durham, NC and completed a tenure as Chief Human Resources Officer in the Mooresville Graded School District and Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. Dr. Medlock’s primary role and expertise in each position that she’s held has been to enhance and improve the culture of each organization through the recruitment, retention and development of excellent, diverse, and highly qualified personnel. Dr. Medlock received her Bachelors degree in Communicative Disorders: Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Southern University, her Masters degree in School Administration from UNC-Greensboro and her Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Superintendency from Wingate University.
  • Dr. Tasha Hall-Powell (Tyrelle)
    Executive Director of Customer and Administrative Services
    Executive Director of Customer and Administrative Services, Dr. Tasha Hall Tyrelle joined the CMS family from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools with over 27 years of experience in K-12 education. Dr. Tasha Hall Tyrelle received her Bachelor of Arts in English from San Diego State University and her Masters in School Administration from Appalachian State University. She earned her Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University. A former teacher, instructional coach, principal and district administrator with a background in school improvement and customer relations, Dr. Hall Tyrelle has extensive experience working with, serving, and addressing the needs of students, families, staff, and community members.
  • Chiquitha Lloyd
    Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
    Chiquitha Lloyd serves as the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. She is a transformational leader and seasoned consensus builder dedicated in service empowering individuals, families, groups, organizations, and institutions. With more than 28 years of experience in non-profit, education, government, health and community-based organizations, Lloyd leads the district’s effort to build a culture of equity and inclusion for all students, families, employees, and suppliers. This includes district policies and procedures as well as classroom practices. In addition, she oversees Family & Community Engagement, Strategic Partnerships and Supplier Diversity. Lloyd holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma and Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix. She is a Certified Diversity Professional, Executive Certified Master Compliance Administrator and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Latisha Hensley
    Director of Family and Community Engagement
    Latisha Hensley serves as the Director of Family and Community Engagement. She is dedicated to building strong connections between families, schools, and community organizations to enhance student achievement, advance equity, and promote collaboration among all stakeholders. With more than 20 years of experience in education, Latisha is a National Board Certified Educator known for her leadership in creating innovative programs, establishing impactful community partnerships, and driving initiatives that ensure student success and equitable opportunities. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Spelman College, a Masters of Education degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a K-12 School Administration license from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
  • Damon Willis MBA, M.Ed
    Director of Strategic Partnerships
    Damon Willis is a strategic leader transforming education as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. With a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Education, along with experience as a Broad Resident, his unique background combines corporate expertise with a deep commitment to equity. Known for designing systems that deliver measurable outcomes, his work has secured critical resources like mental health services, after-school programs, technology and more. He champions the alignment of schools, businesses, non-profits and communities to drive sustainable change for underserved students.
  • Skyne Betha
    Assistant Director of Supplier Diversity
    Skyne Betha has over twenty plus years’ experience in supplier diversity, purchasing and compliance. She is currently the Assistant Director of Supplier Diversity for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. In this role, Skyne proactively seeks out diverse suppliers and builds relationships through a competitive process. She ensures minority-owned, women-owned, and small business enterprises (MWSBE) and other responsible vendors have a fair and reasonable opportunity to participate in the CMS procurement process. Skyne has received several awards and accolades and continues to be a champion in her community and for the minority, women and small business community in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County region.
  • Lorraine Alexander
    Administrative Assistant, Office of the Chief of Staff
    Lorraine Alexander currently serves as the Administrative Assistant to CMS Chief of Staff and Community Engagement Team. Lorraine has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Alcorn State University. She has served in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools for 26 years. She has led as a Treasurer, and an Executive Secretary. In addition to serving in her current role, Lorraine is assisting with the Project Management of a few district initiatives. Her personal passion is interior design and helping whoever she can.
