MEET MRS. REBECCA MCAVOY - PRINCIPAL​

Dear Lake Wylie Elementary School Community,

I am delighted to serve as the new principal of Lake Wylie Elementary School! It is with great excitement and a deep sense of responsibility that I step into this role, and I am eager to begin our journey together to maintain the academic excellence and community engagement that has already been established at our school.

First and foremost, I want to express my commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students. Creating a secure and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported is my top priority. I believe that when students feel safe and cared for, they are better able to thrive academically and socially.

In addition to student safety, I am dedicated to fostering an inclusive, positive, and welcoming school culture. Every member of our school community—students, staff, families, and community members—plays a crucial role in creating a supportive and respectful environment where all individuals feel included and empowered to reach their full potential. I am committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our school community.

As I transition into my role as principal, I recognize the importance of building strong relationships with students, staff, families, and community members. Over the remainder of the school year, I will be spending time getting to know each of you and learning about the unique strengths, challenges, and aspirations of our school community. I am eager to collaborate with all stakeholders to identify areas for growth and to work together to achieve our shared goals.
