Bus Transportation

Each year you must register your child for a bus.  Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools now uses AlphaRoute to process transportation requests. To use the platform, parents will need to create an account, which will allow them to submit requests and keep them informed about the status of their requests via email or text message - whichever communication method they prefer.

Here Comes the Bus App

Families with children that ride a school bus can now use a free bus tracking system. Families can download the app and have access to the real-time location of their child's bus on a map as well as scheduled and actual arrival times at their assigned stop and school.

Here Comes the Bus is a school bus tracking app that simplifies parents' and students' morning and afternoon routines. The app will give them real-time bus location and text or email notification alerts to help get them to the bus stop on time. Here Comes the Bus utilizes our GPS data and an easy-to-use customizable map that works on computers, tablets, or smartphones.
