    Purpose:

    The school improvement process is a framework for change. We approach it by creating a plan, doing the work, checking the results, and acting on them. Once improvements have been made, we put things/ controls/ standards in place to sustain the gains we have realized.

     

    Functions of the SIT:

    • Facilitates the involvement of the school community in the development of the School Improvement Plan.
    • Encourages, supports and creates opportunities for involvement from parents in the community
    • Contributes to the design of the School Improvement Plan • Monitors the effectiveness of the School Improvement Plan strategies

    Legal Requirements: 

     

    § 115C-105.27.  (a2) Public Records.-

    The school improvement plan, except for the school safety components of the plan, is a public record subject to Chapter 132 of the General Statutes and shall be posted on the school Website. The names of the members of the school improvement team, their positions, and the date of their election to the school improvement team shall also be posted on the Website.

    1.  Visit www.NCStar.org
    2.  Enter the username below
