School Improvement Plan (SIP)

  • School Improvement Plans (SIP) and School Improvement Team (SIT) meeting information is housed on the INDISTAR platform (www.indistar.org). In accordance with CMS Board Policy O-SIT, the SIT shall provide a critical communication link with all parents/families and community partners in the school. In addition, to posting minutes for the school, the SIT shall report team activities in the school communication to parents on how to get involved and support what is going on in the classroom. To meet CMS board policy requirements, schools should post on their school websites the link to access the school's SIP and SIT meeting minutes and agenda.

School Improvement Team (SIT)

  • Members of the School Improvement Team (SIT) are directly involved in the development and monitoring of the School Improvement Plan, and as appropriate, some of the day-to-day operations of the school. 

    The School Improvement Team: 

    • Facilitates the development of the School Improvement Plan
    • Uses data as the driving force to create programmatic instructional change
    • Monitors, assesses, and amends the School Improvement Plan as needed
    • Advances policies and procedures that enhance achievement and meet educational, safety, and parent involvement goals
    • Facilitates communication within the Professional Learning Community
    • Builds the capacity of the school to address parent and staff concerns

MEETING SCHEDULE

  • All SIT meetings for the 2023-2024 school year will be held on the last Thursday of each month and begin at 5 p.m. via Microsoft Teams.
