About Our School

  • Our Vision and Mission: Ashley Park PreK-8 School equips scholars with the academic skills and habits of character to believe in and ensure their limitless potential in high school, college and beyond.

    Ashley Park Prek- 8 School serves approximately 400 children on the west side of Charlotte. Our scholars are focused on building habits of character and academic skill, to ensure their investment in themselves, their potential and their future. We proudly serve two PreK classes, K-5 classes and 6-8 Academy classes. All of our scholars are actively involved in music, art, gym, AVID, Career and Technological Education and hands on learning, as well as many extracurriculars and athletics.  We have many amazing athletic teams (football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, etc.). 

    The staff at Ashley Park is very talented and creative in the ways they approach teaching in the classroom; they truly go above and beyond for their scholars. Our staff accept responsibility for all scholar learning and provide the support structures needed to ensure that every child grows and develops their academic knowledge.

    School hours 8:00 am- 3:00 pm
    Arrival Time - The front doors open at 7:30am
    Upon arrival , all students will eat breakfast, they should report to the cafeteria
    Breakfast ends at 7:50 am
    First learning bell rings at 8:00 am 
    Tardy bell rings at 8:01 am  Students should be seated in class before 8:00 am or they will be marked tardy for the day.
    Early Dismissal will be until 2:15 pm
    Students are NOT dismissed from the front office during dismissal.
    Dismissal of car, van and walkers is at 2:50 pm

    Scholars are Ashley Park are able to be served by an after-school program at no cost to families: UrbanPromise (UP). To learn more about this program, you can call the number below:
