Each day students will report to class by 7:15 to begin testing at 7:30 am and end at 12:30pm. Students will report to their assigned block (A Day) or testing location and remain there until an announcement is made for the end of testing, or until they are dismissed to their B Day midterm. There will be no early dismissals January 16-23, 2025. An announcement will be made for students to pick up a grab and go lunch prior to afternoon dismissal. All late arrivals and non testing students will report to the cafeteria.

Each day students will report to class by 7:15 to begin testing at 7:30 am and end at 12:30pm. Butler High School Fall Exam Guidance

In order to be considered for exam exemption a student must either have an A for the F1 grade and no more than 3 absences (excused and unexcused) or a B for the F1 grade with no more than 1 absence (excused or unexcused). To be exempt from 4x4 (1st Semester) final exams (non-state/EOC*), all makeup work must be turned in by January 10, 2025, by 11:59 PM. Make-up work may be turned in after the assigned deadline but will not count towards exam exemption. Students are still responsible for all new assignments and attendance after the deadline, failure to complete these assignments or attend class could remove exam exemption. The final day for any make-up work to be submitted for a grade is January 15, 2025 (mandated and non-state mandated exams).

*EOC Courses that can not be exempted - Biology, English II, Math 1, Math 3, and CTE Courses

Parents and Students should receive a Parent Square Message if they are exempt from an exam no later than January 13th.
Attendance will be taken daily (January 16-23)- Students who are absent will be marked as having an unexcused absence unless their reason meets the district policy for an excused absence and proper documentation is submitted. Per the district, this applies to students who have been exempted from an exam(s) and are not present in class during the exam block(s).
