NC State Tested ELA Course(s)
English II is a state tested course. At the end of the year, all students enrolled in English II will take the English II End of Course final exam. All final exams count as a percentage of the overall course grade for students. To have a successful final course grade, students must also do well on final exams. At AK, over 87% of our English II students are grade level proficient. For CMS, it is at 60%. Our teachers are working diligently to increase that percentage to be over 90% by using the best instructional practices, building relationships with students, and providing rigorous and engaging instruction.
