Dear Torrence Creek Families,

Torrence Creek Elementary is a school filled with students and staff who think and learn and grow every single day! The most common words used to describe this school are family and community.  This is truly a special place that cares about one another. We follow a whole child approach to educating every child and we focus on strong academics, real-life learning experiences, character development, multiple extracurricular opportunities, and social and emotional development. We pride ourselves on providing a safe and welcoming environment for all.

We are a Cambridge Primary School and we follow and use the Cambridge philosophies, which include providing students with opportunities that challenge them academically and opportunities that help to develop leadership skills. We offer a variety of academic and extracurricular opportunities for all students. This includes two separate Science Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) Studios. One is dedicated to science and math and the other to developing technology and engineering skills. We are proud of our music and art offerings as well. All help to support the education of the whole child.

As the proud principal of Torrence Creek, I bring my educational experience as a former elementary classroom teacher, as an assistant principal and my strong passion for education to make a difference in the lives of students every day. Having been in education for many years, I am here to serve our students and to support our staff and families.  My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education from WCU and my graduate degree is a Masters of Administration and Curriculum and Instruction from UNCC. My husband and I have lived in Huntersville for almost 24 years and we have enjoyed raising our 2 sons in this beautiful area that we call home.
