Welcome to River Gate Elementary. We are excited that you made the decision to be a member of our school family. We work in partnership with our families so that every child reaches their highest potential. We are an academically rigorous school where individual student growth and social responsibility are celebrated. Our academic content embraces a diversity of perspectives, and we intently focus on 21st century learning skills and responsive classroom practices. At River Gate, we provide a learning experience that will prepare students for the world in which they will live.

Our dedicated staff places a strong emphasis on professional collaboration to ensure that all students receive the best instruction possible. We follow the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and enrich the curriculum based on student readiness. We ensure that student achievement data serves as the road map for creating lessons and activities that are engaging and developmentally appropriate.

We believe that all students have the ability to succeed and look forward to working with students and families to accomplish this goal. Your involvement at River Gate Elementary is extremely important. I invite you to participate in school events, be an active member of the PTA and serve on the School Improvement Team.
