At Steele Creek Elementary, we are committed to excellence and to addressing the social and emotional needs, as well as the instructional needs, of every student. We believe that all students can achieve and we will work with our students and families to make that happen for every student.  As a participant in the learning community at Steele Creek Elementary School, our vision is to provide a supportive and positive academic environment so that all students will acquire the belief and attitude of, "If you believe it, you can achieve it!"

 

A little about the Principal...

 

I am a Virginia native and grew up in a small town outside of Richmond. I attended Radford University and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I started my teaching career at Nathaniel Alexander Elementary with CMS where I later became an Academic Facilitator. I went on to attend Winthrop University to obtain a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. I served as the Dean of Students at University Meadows Elementary in CMS for three years. I was appointed the Assistant Principal of Steele Creek ES in 2020. I am now the very PROUD principal of Steele Creek!

 

I have two young children and a husband who keeps me very busy! In my free time I enjoy exercising and reading books for pleasure. I love to cook and enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
