Greetings Cato MCHS Families:

I am excited to serve as the proud principal of Cato Middle College High School. This is an amazing school program born out of a strong partnership between Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and Central Piedmont Community College. The hard work of our students and staff have earned Cato MCHS national ranking with a graduation rate of 100%. Students who enroll in our program save an average of $30,000 in college tuition!

Our school is unique in that it provides students the opportunity to complete their high school graduation requirements while also working on college transfer credits or their associates degree.  Students can also complete their associates degree in their 13th year if needed. Our school provides a caring, flexible, and academically rigorous environment for mature, motivated, and responsible students who want to complete high school requirements and earn college transfer credit. 

As an educational leader, I have 26 years of experience, 23 years in CMS–18  as a principal and district administrator.  I am a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin(Go Badgers), earning a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I received my Masters in School Administration from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte (Go Niners), and received my Doctorate in Adult & Community College Education at North Carolina State University (Go Wolfpack).  I can’t think of a better place to continue my leadership journey than Cato Middle College High School. On a more personal level, I am a wife of 23 years and a mom of two adult sons–one that just started college at UNCG and one that works for Apple and lives in San Francisco, California. I love music–especially live, reading, and going to the movies. 

As your principal, I am committed to carrying forward the outstanding legacy that has been established here at Cato MCHS.  We are not successful unless your students are successful.
