CMS is excited to launch the CMS LaunchPad into our school district! CMS LaunchPad is a single sign-on platform allowing students and teachers to use one username and password to access apps needed for student learning. A Canvas course will be utilized to support all students, families, and community partners to become familiar with CMS LaunchPad and how to navigate the portal.

While logged into Chrome, click the Waffle Icon, and select Gmail - make sure you are logged into your CMS account.

Please monitor your email daily as this is how teachers and other staff members will contact students individually.

It provides a safe way for administrators, teachers, staff, groups, and parents to connect and communicate effectively.

• Easily sign up to volunteer and/or bring items
• Access important resources and links online

PowerSchool is the platform CMS teachers use as their gradebook. Here, students and parents can access their schedule and grades for assignments and assessments. It is the expectation that students and parents will use this platform to stay up to date with their progress and contact the teacher with any concerns. Students can access PowerSchool through their NCEdCloud access. Parents can access PowerSchool through the web and/or phone app. For information regarding PowerSchool access, please visit our PowerSchool website. To create an account you will need your child’s PowerSchool-related information. If you do not have this information, please contact Filiz Kaya. To find the free mobile app for your phone, please visit your app store and search for PowerSchool. To complete mobile access, you will need to use the following district code:  GJKX.

SORA is an ebook platform that will allow you to access CMS and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Public library ebooks for academic and leisure reading. Students will have access to their ELA assigned novels here.
