Good evening Oaklawn Family! 

 

This is Principal Trangsrud with your weekly Oaklawn Connect-Ed. 

As the end of the school year is quickly approaching, I want to emphasize the importance of attendance and children being present ALL day.  We are seeing a spike in tardies and early dismissals, which can have a negative impact on a child's educational career when these events happen frequently.  Please help us to finish the year strong by having your children here on time and for the whole day.  Please also remember that if your child does happen to get sick, please send a note, write in the agenda, or email to let us know. 

If your students have lost a sweater or jacket, please ask him/her to check in the lost and found zone. The clothes will be available to go through for the next few weeks.  Whatever is not claimed by the end of May will be donated.

On Friday, our school store will be open as usual from 8:45 to 9:15 am.

Este es un mensaje de la directora Trangsrud con su conexión telefónica semanal.

Ahora que se acerca rápidamente el final del año escolar, quiero enfatizar la importancia de la presencia de los alumnos en las clases, y de estar presente en la escuela TODO el día. Estamos viendo un aumento en las llegadas tardes y las salidas tempranas. Estos eventos pueden tener un impacto negativo en la carrera educativa del alumno cuando ocurren con frecuencia. Ayúdenos a terminar el año firmes y fuertes trayendo sus hijos a la escuela a tiempo y posibilitándoles permanecer en la escuela por todo el día. Recuérdese también por favor: Si su hijo se enferma, infórmenos enviando una nota, o escribiendo en la agenda o correo electrónico. 

Si sus estudiantes han perdido un suéter o chaqueta, pídales que revisen el área de objetos perdidos y encontrados. La ropa estará disponible para ser revisada durante las próximas semanas. Todo lo que no se reclame hasta el fin de mayo será donado.

El viernes, la tienda de la escuela estará abierta de 8:45 a 9:15 de la mañana.
