Oaklawn Weekly Connect Ed – May 12, 2024 (Mother’s Day)

Good evening Oaklawn Family! 

 

This is Principal Trangsrud with your weekly Oaklawn Connect-Ed.

 

Today is Mother’s Day and we want to express our appreciation for all that the mothers of the Oaklawn family do, daily, to prepare our students to success. We know that, like all of us at Oaklawn, you are committed to your child’s education. And your great job as a mom is evident in all that our students achieve at school. Happy Mother’s Day!

 

Thursday, May 16^th, 5:30-7:00 PM, we invite you to watch our second annual “Oaklawn’s Got Talent”, where our 3rd-8th graders will show off their inspiring talents! Concessions like popcorn, candy, and drinks will be for sale from $1 to $3, before the show begins. Students must be accompanied by an adult when coming to watch the show.   

 

Progress reports went home on Friday, please make sure to look over them and talk to your child about the grades to finish strong with all assignments completed and turned in.

 

If you purchased a yearbook, they will go home on Thursday, May 16th.

 

We greatly appreciate all that you do for Oaklawn! The EOGs (End of Grade testing) will be on May 24, 28, and 29, and we will need volunteers to help as Proctors. On Friday, our school store will be open as usual from 8:45 to 9:15 am.

Hoy es el Día de la Madre y queremos rendir homenaje a las madres de la familia Oaklawn quienes, a diario, preparam a nuestros estudiantes para el éxito en la escuela. Sabemos que, como todos nosotros en Oaklawn, usted está comprometida con la educación de su hijo. Y su excelente trabajo como mamá se evidencia en todo lo que nuestros estudiantes logran aquí. ¡Feliz día de la madre!

 

Jueves, 16 de mayo, 5:30 - 7:00 de la noche – ¡Les invitamos a todos para nuestra segunda edición anual de “Oaklawn’s Got Talent”, donde nuestros alumnos de 3º a 8º grado mostrarán sus talentos inspiradores! Palomitas, dulces, y bebidas estarán a la venta por $1 a $3 antes de la presentación. Los estudiantes deben estar acompañados por un adulto para asistir la presentación.

 

Los informes de progreso escolar se enviaron a casa el viernes. Asegúrese de revisarlos y hablar con su hijo sobre las calificaciones para que termine bien el año con todas las tareas completadas y entregadas.

 

Para las personas que compraron un anuario, se le enviará a casa el jueves, 16 de mayo.
