Greetings Hopewell High School Families,

It is truly an honor to serve the Titan Family as your principal. I look forward to continuing Hopewell’s proud tradition of academic excellence, community involvement, and celebrating the many achievements of our students and staff. I am incredibly fortunate to lead and work in such a caring and committed community.

Education was a top priority in my family growing up, and because of that, I was given opportunities that shaped my path in this profession. I earned my undergraduate degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, with a minor in Mathematics, from Ohio University, and later completed my graduate studies in Educational Leadership at Wingate University.

On a personal note, my wife Cheryl and I have lived in Mecklenburg County our entire professional careers. We are proud parents of two young boys, Conner and Ethan, who are both CMS students. I’m a native of Ohio—Go Buckeyes, Go Browns, and Go Guardians!

This year marks my 19th year in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and my second year as Principal of Hopewell High School. I’ve had the privilege of serving the Huntersville community for the past 12 years, including two years as Principal of Francis Bradley Middle School. Before that, I was the Assistant Principal at Hopewell High for eight years. I also taught mathematics at both Rocky River High School and Garinger High School.

The Hopewell community has worked diligently to increase its presence and impact in the greater Huntersville area, and I remain committed to continuing that work. We are proud of our growth, but our journey is far from over. Whether you are new to the Titan Family or returning for another year, know that we are poised for continued excellence.

Relationships are the cornerstone of my leadership. Every day, your child’s safety, well-being, and academic growth are my top priorities. This year, our school wide theme is: One Team – One Titan – United Together. I look forward to seeing you around campus and in the community.

Go Titans!
