MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. MIDDLE SCHOOL

OUR SCHOOL'S HISTORY: Named in honor of the late Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., MLK Middle School opened in 2005 in the Hidden Valley neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina. MLK opened after community members organized and advocated for a local school in the area for their children. In 2023, we serve over 950 students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. In addition to athletics, we offer orchestra, band, and arts education programming for students.
