Curriculum

We follow the same K-8 curriculum as any other CMS elementary or middle school. Special Area & Elective offerings include:

K-5: PE, Art, Music, Makerspace, Science Lab, Media  

Middle School: PE/Health, Art, Chorus, Drama, Spanish, French, Coding, Creative Writing, Band, Computer Science Discoveries I, II, or III

*Special area and electives can be added and removed upon class size and interest. 

Project Based Learning

"Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is a teaching method in which complex real-world problems are used as the vehicle to promote student learning."

Middle School Pathways

Students explore different STEAM pathways with exposure to guest speakers, trips, and experiences with a capstone project.

Clubs

RFSA students have access to a wide variety of STEAM related clubs, such as Lego Robotics, Makerspace Club, Mock Trial, Science and Math Olympiad, Battle of the Books, and MANY more! Additional STEAM opportunities are offered through challenges from the STEAM Committee, PTA, and general education.
