Jacki Altmeyer
This is my ninth year at PHS, but I began teaching in 1997 at AL Brown High School in Kannapolis after graduating from Fairmont State University in West Virginia. I am certified to teach K-12 Theatre Arts, 5-12 Speech and Debate, and 5-12 English. I spent six years working at Countryside Montessori High School and studied the Montessori educational theory during that time. I am the director of the International Thespian Honor Society here at PHS and run the announcements for Providence, "The Morning Roar".

Jill Simpson
I have a Bachelor's degree in Studio Arts and a Master's Degree in education from the University of Minnesota. I have been teaching art at all levels here at Providence for 13 years.

Ms. Alexandra Sims
Ms. Sims has been teaching since 2008 and joined the faculty at PHS in 2022. Beginning her career in middle school chorus at Northwest School of the Arts, Ms. Sims taught high school chorus for 10 years at Parkwood High School before coming to Providence. Ms. Sims earned both her Bachelors and Masters of Music in music education from UNC-G. She teaches Beginning Chorus, Concert Choir (Intermediate), Men's Chamber Choir and Women's Chamber Choir (Proficient/Honors) as well as Mixed Chamber Choir (Advanced/Honors). She loves leading the Providence choral program and also serves as the Tri-M advisor.

Mr. Stapleton
Stapleton: is a theatre artist and educator, alumnus of the University of North Carolina Greensboro, and theatre teacher at Providence High School. He worked most recently for three years at Northwest Guilford High School as the director of theatre and briefly filled in as director of choirs.Originally hailing from Apex, North Carolina, Mr. Stapleton has worked in theatre and/or education for 6 years across the southeastern United States. Previous theatre work includes many projects at Florida Studio Theatre, Triad Stage, Literacy Theatre, North Carolina Summer Rep, and the Northwest Ensemble Theatre. -
Mrs. Freddie Swisshelm
This is my 3rd year teaching at Providence and nearly my 10th year as an art educator for CMS. Before beginning my teaching career, I received my BFA in Studio Art/Art History from UNC-Chapel Hill and my Graduate Certificate in Art Education at UNC-Charlotte.
